Bespoke, bespoke, bespoke!

Our client a crematorium in Berkshire wanted a very bespoke cabinet.

Their original cabinet supplied by a competitor was a little limited with 2 doors of W:700mm, really only suitable for coffins of up to W:26inch/660mm this severely limited the crematorium on larger coffin storage sizes.

Here we supplied a double open leaf doors without center post mullion enabling us to design and manufacture a double open bay racking system, without a centre post the rollers left and right are able to be bigger than previous and with open double bay racking means that if they have a super bariatric coffin this can straddle over two bays.

The fridge racking we make as standard in stainless steel, others often use mild steel which is painted, which in a damp cold environment, will over a matter of time chip paint and can begin to rust. Due to the bariatric loads we used reinforced steel and rollers with a 5th roller for this deeper cabinet to take longer coffins too!

Oh did we mention, the fridge doors are made from stainless steel as requested by the client and we went further by installing full checker plate door protection the the internal doors. The clients last fridge suffered from internal damage caused by impact when unloading coffins.

We also removed their old cabinet.

We designed the plans in CAD to share with the building contractor to work around and who still has some finishing works to complete as the client also had a mezzanine floor built over the rear of the cabinet area.

Images below show Stainless steel doors, large open double access doors and racking for bariatric or regular storage, cabinet raised on tall steel plinth to suit their charger cremation trolley and finally the remote condenser unit wall hung.
