Our customer is delighted with their new fridge, professional expertise and design service brought a solution others hadn’t even considered.
The client wasn’t so thrilled with their previous supplier and had heard good things about Mortuary Solutions. Contact was made and a quote supplied, our client was happy with the initial proposal and a survey was arranged.
At the survey we looked at a couple of areas and options, our surveyor helped guide and plan some design options to help improve the scheme. Using our handle-less doors so that we could fit obese and semi obese in a tight area (others would have only managed x2 small bays) and still hinge the doors outwards, which the customer wanted for best access inside the fridge. Going handle-less not only look great, are more hygienic and the self closing doors shut fully and secure themselves closed (door hold themselves open when open +90°), we then don’t need the normal +150mm clearances for internal and external handles to clear of tray/coffin loading.
The client had earlier consigned that they would lose a valuable hearse space in their garage and was painfully thinking of putting in a platform lift to the first floor with the cabinet upstairs to save the space. This would have been both costly and impractical as the mortuary preparation area is on the ground floor. Our suggestion of fairly minor build works, moving a door to the WC to make way and bringing the cabinet forward (only partly set back into the garage as opposed to fully) has saved the valuable hearse space as you can see from our rear garage area pictures.
Our detailed CAD drawing helped the client visualise and understand accurately the plan WILL work as well as aiding them to perform some building works.
We often go above and beyond with designs to help contractor perform their works correct the first time, we will also guide and communicate with them further as part of our service to ensure the process runs smooth without delay or hiccup for our very important customers.
