Mortuary Solutions were approached January 2023 after a previous scheme by others was scrapped having been massively over budget.
We worked with the council and building company to find solutions to maximise capacity, deliver value and a design scheme that gave a good layout while working to strict planning requirements for a beautiful rural area.
Working with other contractors, architectural, project management and professionals from the council, we advised and guided throughout on design schemes to achieve the best solution that increased initial capacity from 80 to 105 with flexible walk in cold room. We also provided two isolation bays, a permanent freezer and a multi temperature flexible switch over cabinet to future proof and meet changing demands.
During the project we held weekly meetings to help the council and others coordinate throughout the project whilst working to strict planning conditions both visual and acoustic.
At handover both the councilor and mortuary managers were delighted, thanked us for our commitment and told us how easy we were to deal with throughout the process and that they had a very good experience when compared with another leading competitor. They even joked and asked if we could start on the other mortuary area Monday.
At handover there was a zero snag list for Mortuary Solutions.
