Our customer is “delighted” with this install and equipment.
A particularly awkward space in terms of size, their original 3 door fridge was in a different orientation. Our compact D:2.3m fridge (a lot of competitors use oversized food fridge’s around D:2.4m), hence ours worked in the confines of this room without the need to reposition the rooms double doors.
Adjacent the room is also compact, but the client needed mortuary sinks and sluice for embalming which would impose on the trolley loading area. Mortuary Solutions are manufacturers and have the capability to custom make equipment to work around such problems others can’t. We made our double embalming sink in two pieces with the lower foul (drainage) sink separate so that it does not intrude into the trolley loading area (pics to follow once their plumber has fitted). We also provided a hygienic hand free, knee operated wash hand basin.
Because the room is confined, the fridge is more susceptible to scrapes and bangs from the trolley/other equipment, we therefore recommended and fitted door protection plates, to protect the cabinet and keep it in pristine condition for many years.
Being manufactures we can bespoke make such equipment and using CAD for design we can accurately draw to scale our proposals to show the customer we have the best Mortuary Solution!
We managed to install a 5bay fridge with 5 and 4 tier to give our client a much increased capacity of 24 with 4 tier providing handy coffin size storage.
When capacity is high we often recommend, as we did here, a 2no. plant system and advise if ever a plant failed, could you cope or do you have facilities elsewhere to transfer? Usually on large capacity fridges the answer is no, hence a 2no. plant system offers vital back up, buying time for a repair, but most importantly ensuring the constant care of deceased, minimising disruption to the business.
